Get Involved

Dr. Fernández-Sánchez opens annual calls for volunteers every April, offering a unique chance to contribute to groundbreaking research on migration and health. Selected volunteers will gain hands-on experience in qualitative methods, data collection, and analysis while learning about HIV and human trafficking prevention. Volunteers may also have opportunities to co-author academic publications and present findings at conferences. This year-long commitment is a chance to make a tangible impact, develop valuable skills, and contribute to meaningful change.

I acknowledge that I am located on Indigenous land, specifically the Atakapa-Ishak, Tāp Pīlam Coahuiltecan, the Sana band of the Tonkawa tribe, and Karankawa nations, whose presence continues to enrich our vibrant community.  As a migrant, I feel privileged to share this land and respect the histories, languages, and cultures.
